The Taste of Ramadan on September 7th 2008 was held at Newington High School.It was sponsored by the Muslim Coalition of Connecticut, the Islamic Association of Greater Hartford, the Muslim Students Association Connecticut and Islamic Relief.

We were blessed with the presence of around 750 guests of which around 40% were non-Muslims who were interested in learning about what Ramadan was all about.

The evening included talks on Ramadan and the concept of fasting followed by a short movie on Ramadan and a panel discussion after which we broke fast, prayed and shared a meal together.
